OH MY OLYMPICS!
OMG. OLYMPICS ROCKS MY SOCKS.i once thought olympics was a waste of time but now, for the past 17 days, i've been switching to those olympics channels to watch badminton, track & field, synchronized swimming, artistic gymnastics and volleyball. of course badminton is my favourite one. lee chong wei lost to lin dan but it's already quite good to clinch a silver from the olympics, imagine all the physical and mental hardships you have to go thru just to get to the finals. getting a medal is good enough, at least for me. but im sure china disagrees... they've got (i think) 49 gold medals now. they're waiting to get their 50th gold medal...and the last day is tmr! i wonder if they'll get it. i must say china is darn good, like what the writer of one of the olympics article wrote : there is nothing the chinese (or china) can't do if they put their minds into it. correct me if the qoute is wrong, but it's somewhere along that line... i salute to you, china! and lin dan was really strong when he thrashed lee chong wei. singapore's feng tian wei too, i could see her keeping her cool during the fight for gold medal in the women's team gold medal but li jia wei was more...impatient? yeah... it's kinda odd though, to see singapore's ping pong team (i like calling it ping pong) play against china's team cause it's like watching china team A versus china team B. singapore is special cause most of their players are from other countries: --li jia wei, feng tian wei and wang yue gu are from china --ronald susilo is from indonesia and many more... except the sailors are true singaporeans i think... but who cares where they come from! :D
lols. i just recalled about what happened yesterday during badminton... i was raising up my arms and pointed to the sky cause i won the match against my uncle and i was like cheering all the way. then my uncle thought i was copying usain bolt's stance, the one where he pointed to the Jamaican flag (or his golden shoe) at an angle after he wins a sprint race. then i was like 'really ah?' and from then on i kept doing it. haha... and for those who don't know who's usain bolt, the fastest man in the world did, here's the picture:
[yeah i know it doesn't show the flag or shoe (or both) but you should get the picture.]
olympics rocks!! whooots. oh! and poor liu xiang pulled out of the 110m hurdles when his achilles tendon snapped! the whole of china was devastated, they had been looking forward espacially for this race months before beijing olympics started and then liu xiang just pulled out like that. some chinese ppl blamed liu xiang and claimed that he faked it. NO WAY man! did you all see his face when he was warming up? he was in PAIN. PAIN. OUCH. and those ppl had to hurt him even more. poor liu xiang had to face all the discrimination. i support liu xiang even though he didn't run at all. i seem to like to support the underdogs, haha. maybe not all the time...
oh yeah, and i changed my blogskin after so many requests from my fellow jjang mates. haha it's not that i didn't want to change, i just had no time and i couldn't find any skin that was suitable for my blog...which explains why i used blogger's standard template>minima black
can't wait to watch the closing ceremony and yet i don't want the olympics to end... sigh.... oh!!!! i just saw sth! china now has 51 GOLD MEDALS!!! go china!! chinese ppl are just sooo determined! good for u! haha ok i gtg now. got to visit my dad in the hospital... :(:( his left knee hurts again and this time it's so bad that he can't even stand up without feeling intense pain. i know my dad is very tough, he is even the captain during his NS years(he says some of the boys cry and others even committed suicide) so he has an EXTREMELY high tolerance of pain. so if he describes the pain in his knee is intolerable, then it means THAT much pain... hai yo... what to do now? D: you all must pray for my dad ok? thanks...
